This delicious pizza comes completely without tomatoes and convinces instead with sunflower seed cream, mushrooms, and carrot!
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp olive oil
- 120 ml water
- 1 red onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 small bunch of basil
- Salt, pepper, olive oil
- 1 jar of sunflower seeds
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon yeast flakes
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt, pepper
- Optional: some vinegar
Mix flour (reserve 2 tablespoons flour), yeast, salt, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Form a well in the center and add olive oil and water. Mix with a fork until the water is absorbed. Now knead the dough with your hands for about 5 minutes and form it into a ball.
Wash out the mixing bowl, put the dough in the bowl, and cover. Let dough rise for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 250°C.
Bring some water to a boil and pour the boiling water over the sunflower seeds in a bowl so that they are just covered with water. Let it stand briefly. In a blender cup, puree garlic clove, yeast flakes, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, and sunflower seeds with about half of the water until creamy.
Finely slice the onion and mushrooms. Cut carrot lengthwise into thin slices with a peeler.
Sprinkle the remaining flour on the work surface and roll out the dough. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread thinly with sunflower seed cream (about 2/3). Top with mushrooms, onion, and carrots season to taste with some olive oil, salt, and pepper, and place in the oven.
After about 10-15 minutes, remove the pizza from the oven and top with a little olive oil, and the basil. Finally, pour the remaining sunflower seed cream over the pizza and enjoy!
